The data would then be transmitted to Headcount’s offices via modem or the Internet for processing, BACS payments, production of payslips, etc. With the processing operation taken care of by Headcount, payroll departments are then free to concentrate their time on the more strategic aspects of payroll administration. Not only this, the payroll department will have immediate access to the most current information allowing them to produce reports as required, answer employee queries or liaise with external agencies such as the Inland Revenue.
